Reports
Desktop POS keeps every fiscal invoice in its local database and lets managers report on any date range directly from the device — no Backoffice connection required. The Reports page covers the figures required for fiscal reporting as well as sales analytics by product, category, and day.
Note: The Reports page is available to users with the Manager role or higher. See Cashiers and roles.
Opening the Reports Page
From the main menu, select Reports
Pick a period using the buttons at the top: Today, This Week (Monday to today), This Month (1st to today), or Custom
For Custom, choose a from and to date and tap Apply
All summary cards and report tabs refresh for the selected period. Both dates are inclusive — a report from the 1st to the 31st covers the whole of the 31st.
Summary Cards
The top of the page shows the headline figures for the period:
Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
Total Revenue | Total sale amount and number of sale invoices across Normal and Advance invoices |
Cash Sales | Cash received for Normal sale invoices, and its share of cash + card payments |
Card Sales | Card payments received for Normal sale invoices, and its share of cash + card payments |
Refunds | Total refund amount and number of refund invoices across Normal and Advance invoices |
Below the cards, Top Sellers ranks the five best-selling products by revenue, and Revenue by Payment Type shows how Normal sale payments split across Cash, Card, Voucher, and the other payment methods.
Cancelled invoices are excluded from all summary figures. Proforma, Copy, and Training invoices never contribute to revenue, refunds, or payment totals.
Fiscal Reports
The following reports provide the figures required for fiscal reporting. They include every fiscalized invoice stored on the device for the chosen period.
Invoices by Type
The Invoices by Type tab shows the number of fiscalized invoices per invoice type and transaction type.
Column | Description |
|---|---|
Invoice Type | Normal, Proforma, Copy, Training, or Advance |
Transaction Type | Sale or Refund |
Invoices | Number of invoices issued for that combination in the period |
Every invoice type is listed, including non-fiscal Proforma, Copy, and Training invoices, so the tab reconciles with the SDC's issued-invoice count. Cancelled invoices are not counted.
Transaction Report
The Transaction Report tab shows the total amounts per payment type for the period, restricted to Normal and Advance invoices:
Column | Description |
|---|---|
Payment Type | Cash, Card, Check, Wire Transfer, Voucher, Mobile Money, or Other |
Sales | Amount received by this payment type on sale invoices |
Refunds | Amount returned by this payment type on refund invoices |
Net | Sales minus Refunds |
Refund invoices that do not record their own payment breakdown inherit the payment split of the original invoice they reference. Where no payment information can be determined, the amount is reported under Other.
Exporting this tab to PDF produces the full Transaction Report, which adds:
Issued Invoices — counts of Normal sale, Normal refund, Advance sale, and Advance refund invoices
Total Sale (Normal + Advance) — the total sale amount for the period
Total Refund (Normal + Advance) — the total refund amount for the period
Net — Total Sale minus Total Refund
Sold Items — every item sold in the period with quantity, unit price, and total
Tip: The same four figures — invoice counts per type, total sale amount, total refund amount, and totals per payment type — are also produced per shift when you close a shift. See Daily report.
Sales Analytics
These tabs analyse what was sold. They count only Normal sale invoices that were successfully signed by the SDC; Advance, Proforma, Copy, Training, and refund invoices are excluded.
Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
Products | Each product sold with quantity sold and revenue, ranked by quantity |
Categories | Quantity sold and revenue per product category, ranked by revenue. Items without a category are grouped under Uncategorized |
Daily | One row per day with the number of sale invoices, revenue, refunds, and net revenue. This tab includes Advance invoices alongside Normal ones |
