Stores & Devices

Organize your business into stores, then connect each Desktop POS device to the right store so it syncs the correct catalog and contributes to the right reports.

Stores

Create a store for each physical location under Stores → New Store. Each store has the following fields:

Field

Description

Name

Display name of the location

Code

Short unique identifier (e.g., MAIN, STORE2)

Address

Street address of the location

Timezone

Timezone for shift times and reports

Open / Close

Default opening and closing times (informational; used in reports)

Property kind

Type of business — used to unlock industry-specific modules

You can edit a store's details at any time. Archiving a store hides it from active lists but preserves its historical data.

Provisioning a Device

Before a Desktop POS device can connect, you must provision it in the Backoffice:

  1. In the Backoffice, go to Devices.

  2. Select the store the device will belong to.

  3. Click Provision device.

  4. Enter a Device name (e.g., Till 1, Cashier 2).

  5. The Backoffice generates a one-time registration code. Copy it — it expires after first use.

Tip: Provision devices one at a time. Each device gets its own unique registration code.

Pairing a POS

On the Desktop POS device, use Connect mode during first-run setup:

  1. Select Connect as the setup mode.

  2. Enter the Backoffice API URL (provided by your Backoffice administrator).

  3. Enter the Registration code generated in the step above.

  4. Enter a Device name to identify this till in the Backoffice.

  5. Wait for the device to bootstrap — it downloads the catalog and initial settings from the Backoffice.

Once connected, the device status in the Backoffice changes from Pending Activation to Active.

Device Lifecycle

Status

Meaning

Pending Activation

Provisioned but not yet paired with a physical device

Active

Connected and syncing normally

Blocked

Pairing is suspended; the device cannot sync or fiscalize

Retired

Permanently decommissioned; removed from active views but retained in history

Managing Devices

From the Devices page, select any device to access management actions:

  • Reassign store — Move the device to a different store. The next sync delivers that store's catalog.

  • Force resync — Invalidates the device's sync state and triggers a full catalog refresh on next connection.

  • Block / Unblock — Temporarily suspend or restore a device's ability to sync.

  • Retire — Permanently decommission a device. This action cannot be undone.

Note: Blocking a device does not erase local data on the device. The device can continue selling offline but will not be able to push sales to the Backoffice until unblocked.
